Joar Usom of Roros, Norway, rests his team of Polar Huskies, while Jim Chick of Minneapolis, MN, catches up. Ulsom and Chick are training the dogs for 2000 mile, three month expedition along the Bering Sea and Arctic Ocean coasts in Alaska. ATV's are used to replicate the weight of the sleds which will weight more than 1000 lbs.Ulsom will ski the entire distance alongside the sled. Chick is the expedition manager. The trek, set to kick off in February, 2011, can be followed at www.polarhusky.com
